Bio
Shiho Sato was born in Yokohama Japan. She received training in traditional realism at Le’ Ecole d’ Albert Defois in France and the Art Students League of New York. She also worked as a copyist at prestigious museums in Europa such as Prado Museum (Madrid), Kunsthaus (Zúrich) y Gemäldegalerie (Berlin). Her wide range of works includes painting, drawing, sculpture and mix-media. She currently lives in Mexico where she produces her art works and teaches drawing at the University of Guanajuato.
Shiho Sato has received various scholarships and prizes such as: Convocatoria Randy Walz (Guanajuato, 2023), Mención Honorífica en III Bienal Olga Costa (Guanajuato, 2023), Teaching Assistant en la Universidad de Kentucky (Lexinton, KY, 2017-2018), Model to Monument Public Art Project (New York, 2015-2016), Phyllis Harriman Mason Grant (New York, 2012-2013), y Merit Scholarship de ASL (New York, 2011-2012).
